Patti King-DeBaun
Pati King-DeBaun is a speech language pathologist who has specialized in communication for children with severe disabilities for the past 25 years. Pati speaks and consults in a variety of classrooms nationally and internationally on the topics of interactive communication, augmentative communication, and early literacy for children with disabilities. Pati is known for her hands-on and practical work with children and the use of case and video samples in her instruction. She has written numerous articles and published materials on the topic of augmentative communication and early literacy skills for children with disabilities. She has worked with numerous universities worldwide teaching courses and seminars on emergent literacy, communication development and disabilities. Pati has been instrumental in developing and collaborating on a wide range of innovative literacy and communication materials for children with disabilities. Pati lives in Park City, UT and when she in not working she enjoys being outdoors skiing and having fun with her family.
